A number of EU countries, including France and Belgium, and Canada have curtailed travel to and from the U.K. due to this new strain of the illness. United has already waived change fees through March 31, 2021, for flights within the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and for international flights originating in the U.S. United Airlines stock is down 2% in Monday trading, and has plunged nearly 51% over the last year. The S&P 500 index is up 14.7% for the past 12 months.
