Tesla Inc. shares slid 3% in premarket trade Friday, after the electric car maker’s third-quarter deliveries, a proxy for sales, came in above estimates that have come down in recent days. The company said it delivered 139,300 vehicles in the quarter, compared with a FactSet consensus of 137,000. As recently as Wednesday, that consensus stood at 140,000. The company delivered 15,200 Model S and Model X vehicles, compared with a FactSet consensus for 15,300. It delivered 124,100 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, compared with expectations for 117,300. Shares have gained 436% in the year to date.
