Stocks drop, Dow down over 300 points as Trump halts stimulus talks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gave up a gain of more than 100 points to trade more than 300 points lower on the day after President Donald Trump tweeted that he had ordered his team to halt talks on a stimulus package with congressional Democrats until after the election. The Dow was down 315 points, or 1.1%, while the S&P 500 was down 1.3% at 3,365.
