Sheetz to launch a limited-time wheat ale made with watermelon gummy rings

/ / News

Convenience store chain Sheetz will launch its first-ever craft beer, watermelon wheat ale, made with gummy rings candy. The beer will be available on September 11 at 4pm for a limited time in North Carolina and Virginia. Created in partnership with Richmond, Va.-based Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, it will not be restocked once it’s sold out. Called “Project Watt-Ahh-Melon Ring,” the beer was made using 100 pounds of Sheetz’s gummy rings. It joins other flavors from unexpected collaborations, like Harpoon Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale, Boston Kreme Stout, and Jelly Donut IPA, created by Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. and Harpoon Brewery.
