Quanterix stock jumps nearly 10% after company gets EUA for COVID-19 test

/ / News

Shares of Quanterix Corp. rallied nearly 10% in the extended session Monday after the life-sciences company said the Food and Drug Administration has issued an emergency use authorization for the company’s SARS-CoV-2 antigen test. The test is intended for use with nasopharyngeal samples in people suspected of being ill with COVID-19, the company said. Quanterix “will be pursuing authorization for additional sample types, including nasal swabs, saliva, and capillary dried blood obtained from a fingerstick,” it said. The company last week announced it had been granted an EUA to one of its SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests, which uses blood samples. Shares of Quanterix ended the regular trading session up more than 8%.
