Orion shares slide on news 2 crew members were killed in a Friday fire, while two more remain missing

Shares of Houston-based construction company Orion Group Holdings Inc. fell 7% Monday, after the company said an explosion and fire on Friday caused by its dredge Waymon Boyd killed two crew members, while two more remain missing. The fire broke out in the Port of Corpus Christi ship channel early Friday. Recovery efforts continue for the missing crew members, while others are injured, some seriously, the company said in a statement. “We greatly appreciate the efforts of the U.S. Coast Guard and other first responders in their efforts to recover our missing crewmen,” Chief Executive Mark Stauffer said. Shares have fallen 46% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 has gained 5.8%.
