Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine authorized in Switzerland

Shares of Moderna Inc. were up 0.8% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company said its COVID-19 vaccine has been authorized in Switzerland. The country has also agreed to purchase 7.5 million doses of the vaccine, with deliveries scheduled to begin next week. Moderna’s vaccine has already been authorized in at least four countries and the European Union. Moderna’s stock is up 512.6% over the last year, while the S&P 500 has gained 17.5%.
