Macy’s names Adrian Mitchell as CFO

Macy’s Inc. said Wednesday that it has named Adrian Mitchell as chief financial officer, effective Nov. 2. Mitchell joins from Boston Consulting Group where he worked with a number of retail clients. He has also held positions at retailers including Crate & Barrel and Target Corp. Mitchell succeeds Felicia Williams, who has served on an interim basis since June 1. Williams will join CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, a group of 1,300 chief executives and presidents that aims to advance diversity in the workplace. She will serve as a Macy’s fellow. Macy’s stock has plunged 64% in 2020 while the S&P 500 index is up 8.7% for the period.
