Kaiser Health News report: White House urging some states to require masks

/ / News

The White House Coronavirus Task Force has reportedly recommended mask mandates in states like Iowa, Missouri, and Oklahoma, according to Kaiser Health News. White House officials issued reports to governors of those states on Sept. 20 suggesting that the states implement mask mandates, a move that contrasts with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence’s choices to sometimes not wear masks, including at political rallies. The task force has also suggested that people should be fined in states like Alaska, Idaho, and Montana if they do not wear masks. There are 16 states that do not require people to wear masks.
