/ / News

GreenPower Motor Co. Inc. said Friday that it has sold six electric school buses to Thermalito Union Elementary School District in California, for an undisclosed amount. The B.E.A.S.T. buses sold are Type D battery electric school buses with a range of up to 150 miles. GreenPower said five of the buses sold will be funded through the California Clean Energy Jobs Act. “The sale of six units to the Thermalito Union School District is a great example of how GreenPower is working with customers and our sales partners to leverage multiple incentive programs to bring our all-electric school bus to market,” said GreenPower President Brendan Riley. “This is a trend we expect to accelerate within California, then spread to other states as a template.” The stock, which fell 2.6% in morning trading, has soared 584.3% year to date, while the S&P 500 has gained 10.2%.
