Gold futures settle with a modest gain

Gold futures ended a bit higher on Monday, to tally a third session gain in a row. The haven metal found support from some renewed COVID-19 economic restrictions, despite news of another promising vaccine. December gold edged up by $1.60, or 0.08%, to settle at $1,887.80 an ounce.
