GM CFO Dhivya Suryadevara to leave company after about 2 years in the role

General Motors Co. said Chief Financial Officer Dhivya Suryadevara will leave the company, after nearly 2 years in her current role, to take a job with another company outside of the automotive industry. The auto maker named current GM North America CFO John Stapleton as acting CFO, effective Aug. 15, while a search for a permanent replacement is conducted. Stapleton joined GM in 1990, and has been in his current role since January 2014.
