General Mills Inc. said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Don Mulligan is planning to retire effective June 1 of 2020. The owners of brands including Cheerios, Annie’s, Yoplait and Pillsbury, said Kofi Bruce, vice president and controller, will be promoted to VP, financial operations effective Sept. 1 and then to CFO effective Feb. 1, 2020. Bruce has been with the company since 2009, after 10 years in various finance roles at Ford Motor Co. and Ecolab . The company also said the Billy Bishop, group president of its pet segment, will become founder & brand adviser for the pet segment, effective January 1, 2020. Bishop and his father Bill Sr. and brother Chris founded Blue Buffalo pet foods in 2002. Bethany Quam, group president for Europe and Australia, will become group president of the pet segment effective Oct. 1. Dana McNabb, who is current president for U.S. cereal, will become group president for Europe and Australia in Quam’s place from Jan 2.
