European Commission says preliminary view is that Amazon broke antitrust rules

The European Commission said that it’s informed Amazon of its preliminary view that the online sales giant breached antitrust rules by relying on non-public business data of independent sellers who sell on its marketplace, to the benefit of Amazon’s own retail business. The European Commission also said it’s opened a second investigation into the possible preferential treatment of Amazon’s own retail offers and those of marketplace sellers that use Amazon’s logistics and delivery services.
