/ / News

Sen. Dan Sullivan has been projected to win his reelection race in Alaska, according to the Associated Press, guaranteeing Republicans at least 50 Senate seats in the 117th Congress. The race is the latest win for Republicans after Cal Cunningham, the challenger to GOP Sen. Thom Tillis in North Carolina, conceded defeat Tuesday. The Alaska result sets up a showdown in Georgia, where Republicans need to win only one of two Jan. 5, 2021, runoff races to retain control of the Senate.
