Stocks ended lower Thursday, with tech-related shares feeling renewed selling pressure after a bounce attempt ran out of steam. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell around 406 points, or 1.5%, to end near 27,535, according to preliminary figures, while the S&P 500 lost around 60 points, or 1.8%, to finish near 3,339. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite ended with a loss of around 222 points, or 2%, near 10,920. The energy sector was the biggest loser, tumbling more than 3% as oil prices dropped, while the tech sector lost more than 2%. Tech stocks had bounced Wednesday, following a three-day slide that sent the Nasdaq from a record close into a correction, defined as a drop of 10% from a recent high.
