Cigna affirms 2020 profit and revenue outlook, 2021 EPS target

Cigna Corp. disclosed Thursday that it expects to affirm previously provided full-year financial guidance, when it meets with investors and analysts over the next several weeks. The health services company still expects 2020 adjusted earnings per share of $18.00 to $18.60, which surrounds the FactSet consensus of $18.54, and expects revenue of $154 billion to $156 billion, compared with expectations of $155.95 billion. Cigna said it expects to reiterate its target of adjusted EPS of $20.00 to $21.00, compared with the FactSet consensus of $20.48. The stock, which was still inactive in premarket trading, has declined 11.4% year to date, while the SPDR Health Care Select Sector ETF has gained 5.1% and the S&P 500 has advanced 4.5%.
